We are moving to France!

A great day to announce that… on my birthday!  My gift to you!! 😉

A news that some know already, but I realized that many did not know, so here it is:

Mimi and me will move to France for many years (approx. 7 years) starting in may 2016.

In France, we will serve everywhere necessary for Local Church Ministry with Word of Life but we will live on the France property in Ecouen.  We will also take care of the property in this place.  Ecouen is 18km or 11 miles from center of Paris.  The same distance that we now live from the center of Montreal.

No, wi will not live in the house in background!  That is a castle!! 😉  It it the castle of Ecouen, museum of Renaissance, our next door neighbour, seen from Word of Life property. DSCF2464

Coming from the castle here is the Word of Life property in the background (center).1

Here it is again as we come up the hill.IMG_2054 copy 2

In May 2016 I will be 58 years old and 7 years will bring me to 65, supposedly retirement time?!  We will re-evaluate at that time.

So, that was the big new.  I hope that you are as happy as we are of this new direction, that we believe is directed by God, since all doors have opened in this direction.DSCF4237Here is the This is back of Word of Life property in Ecouen.

An interesting note!DSCF4235

The maiden name of Mimi is Michèle Jubinville.  Her ancestor that came to Canada from France in 1706 was also Michel Jubinville!

So Michel Jubinville left France in 1706 and Michèle Jubinville is returning in France in 2016 – 310 years later!! 😉

Thank you for your friendship!  And you will come to visit us in Ecouen!

Reasons for these changes (if that interest you) :

I am serving with Word of Life international as project coordinator of Francophone ministries since 2010.  My parents arrived in Canada, from France, in 1954.  I was born in Québec and always lived in Québec (except for one year of study in Idaho in 1976).  At the beginning it was difficult to change my heart, who was won to Québec people, to love the Francophone world, but God as really made the change.

I now have a burning passion for the Francophone world and I will surely use all the energy that God will give me for the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ among youth, as I believe it is the solution and salvation of man, and certainly of our young people who are searching for direction.

Everything seems favorable for the change:

– I have the French nationality, from my parents, so it will be possible for me to work in France without trouble or visa.  Mimi will also have French Nationality in April 2016.

– The Word of Life ministry in France needs more intensive help to support local churches with their youth groups, i.e. in the areas of training, support, encouragement and contacts.

– We will also be closer to serve in French Africa and possibly in other countries in French Europe, as the ministry is expanding in the Francophone world.

– I will be able to promote the Quebec ministry in France and work at uniting our Francophone ministries around the world, including exchange and mission trips between youth groups of these different countries.
